We are hiring an Therapeutic Rehabilitation Services Counselor, located in Springfield, KY. An Therapeutic Rehabilitation Services Counselor is responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of automotive equipment. Duties include performing emissions inspections, diagnostic testing of vehicles, and replacement of worn components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic rehabilitation program services on-site at the Pioneer Rural Health Clinic in Louisa, KY, to adults with severe and persistent mental illness or children under 21 with serious emotional disabilities.
  • Collaborate with recipients to establish individual rehabilitation goals within a person-centered service plan.
  • Deliver therapeutic rehabilitation services using a variety of psychiatric rehabilitation techniques.
  • Focus on improving daily living skills, self-monitoring of symptoms and side effects, emotional regulation skills, crisis coping skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide services individually or in a group setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care identifying measurable goals and objectives, including discharge and relapse prevention planning.
  • Coordinate services the individual receives and refer to other necessary service supports as needed.
  • Document and maintain individual case records.
  • Participate in licensed clinical supervision, consultation, and support to direct care staff.
  • Provide scheduled therapeutic activities, training, and support to recipients.
  • Adhere to all regulations and requirements as outlined in 907 KAR 1:082, specifically Section 3(n) regarding Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program Services.
  • Help establish and grow the new TRP service line, initially consisting of approximately half a day of work, Monday through Friday.

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • Must be an "Approved Behavioral Health Practitioner" as defined in 907 KAR 1:082, which includes:
    • Physician
    • Psychiatrist
    • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
    • Physician Assistant
    • Licensed Psychologist
    • Licensed Psychological Practitioner
    • Certified Psychologist with autonomous functioning
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
    • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
    • Licensed Professional Art Therapist
  • Demonstrated experience in serving individuals with mental health disorders.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation techniques and person-centered planning.
  • Ability to document and maintain individual case records.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
