We are hiring a Registered Nurse (PRN) for our growing team! The PRN Registered Nurse is a vital member of the System of Care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of persons served/clients as they go through the rehabilitation process.  The PRN Registered Nurse will work on an as needed basis to ensure quality care to clients.  The PRN Registered Nurse will be required to work a minimum of 32 hours per month.  

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts nursing assessments and monitor clients 
  • Medication management
  •  Ensure appropriate Precautions of the initiated  and followed 
  • Facilitate health education groups, including general health education and medication/drug interactions 
  • Observe and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms of withdrawal and changes in condition 
  • Schedule appointments with physicians and mental health providers 
  • Send medication refills to pharmacy as ordered by provider 
  • Coordinate refills and new prescriptions with the staff physician 
  • Log medications and maintain an accurate medication logbook 
  • Maintain a medical first aid kit 
  • Complete nursing encounter documentation
  • Communicate with Medical Director as needed 
  • Monitor persons served/client behavior during medication administration 
  • Complete all medical notes same day of service 
  • Complete nursing assessment within 24 hours of intake for persons served/clients 
  • Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required 
  • Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics
  • The Registered Nurse is expected to protect the privacy of all persons served/client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. 
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • Registered Nursing Degree 
  • Valid Nursing License in Kentucky 

Other Qualifications to be Considered:

  • Knowledge of basic infection prevention strategies and precautions.
  • Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact of alcohol and other     substances on the individual and family.  
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Attention to detail and organization is a must. 
  • Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities. 
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.  
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner. 
  • Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission  statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create  a safe and therapeutic relationship with clients served
