We are hiring a Professional Development Support Staff for our growing team! The Support Staff member provides administrative and operational support for continuing education programs. This role involves assisting with scheduling, coordinating events, maintaining records, and supporting faculty, students, and staff to ensure the smooth execution of professional development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and coordinating continuing education training sessions.

• Maintain accurate records of participants, training materials, and program documentation.

• Provide administrative support, including answering inquiries, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.

• Support faculty and trainers by ensuring necessary materials and resources are available.

• Help organize and promote continuing education events and trainings.

• Assist in recruiting participants for training programs.

• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice-President of Academic Administration or their designee.

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Previous administrative or clerical experience is desirable.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software.

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

• Familiarity with basic office procedures and record-keeping.

• Ability to communicate professionally with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

• Understanding of continuing education programs and their role in professional development.

• Knowledge of basic scheduling and event coordination.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
