What qualifications you will need 

  • High School GED 
  • Computer certifications are preferred 
  • Drivers License 
  • Possess strong knowledge of computers, computer programs and experience as an administrator within these environments. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to prioritize work and work-related responsibilities on a strict deadline. 
  •  Must have the ability to interact with staff and persons served/clients in a professional manner. 
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to document detailed processes. 
  • Knowledge of addictions preferred. 
  • Knowledge and competency in problem-solving, stress management, ethics, and team building. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team. 

What you will do in this role

  •  Acts as software and hardware support to the entire enterprise, providing technical assistance to all ARC/Odyssey employees.
  • Responds to user requests for service and determines the nature and extent of support needed.
  • Provides support or refers to the appropriate staff member.
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots a wide range of software and hardware used throughout the company's operations. Performs hardware/software upgrades to existing computer equipment as needed. 
  • As a member of the IT staff, responds to hardware problem calls on-site or over the phone for users.
  • Investigates error messages and determines resolution.
  • Calls software vendors or accesses online technical support to obtain software updates.
  • Investigates appropriate areas of potential problems and determines resolution. 
  • Act as an administrator of various systems and platforms used by the company. As an administrator, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining user accounts, as well as password resets and troubleshooting logins. 
  • Responsible for accurate and efficient networking of company devices. This includes but is not limited to running cables, connecting and configuring network devices, setting up routers, etc. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of networking concepts and configurations. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and work on your feet for the duration of your shift. 
  • Accountable for ensuring continuity of computer system services for computer users by providing technical expertise, assistance to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware, and troubleshooting PC and network technical problems. 
  • Occasional travel out of town for extended periods of time. 
  • Travel up to 300 miles a day. 
  • Work extended hours with minimal notification. 
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
