We are hiring a Pharmacy Courier for our growing team! The Pharmacy Courier  is a vital member of the Intake Team.  A Pharmacy Courier makes pick-ups and deliveries for the pharmacy. You will deliver medications and pickup returns on a scheduled route to the same facilities on the same days each week. The medication is sealed in totes and you will collect signatures from the receiving parties at the time of delivery. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position performs day-to-day route operations by serving company needs with regard to properly transporting medications. 
  • Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of medication deliveries and returns to the appropriate destination. 
  • Ensure the route is started with the proper tools. i.e., Signature Logs, totes, emergency boxes, cell phones, keys, etc. 
  • Follow the route as scheduled while allowing for special deliveries/pickups. 
  • Follow all documentation requirements. 
  • Communicate with facility staff to ensure returns are collected and all totes scheduled for delivery are present. 
  • Attendance and punctuality in meetings and training sessions. 
  • Meet all training requirements in a timely manner as assigned.
  • Properly care for and maintain company equipment including scanners, telephones, vehicles, etc.
  • Communicate any deficiencies with equipment. 
  • Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required 
  • Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • High school graduate or GED 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel in the region closest to residence
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay on schedule
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to complete and submit reports
  • This job requires a strong ability to work as a productive member of a team
