GENERAL

The Security Guard’s primary responsibility is to protect the people and property of the Crown Recovery Center campus from possible criminal activity.  Patrols and monitors physical property of the campus both interior, exterior of all campus buildings and  common areas.  Responds to and reports concerns of any kind in a timely manner.   

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Previous work experience as a security guard or related position is preferred  
  • Substance abuse field experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and organization a must

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities
  • Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds
  • Provides constant monitoring of vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the campus
  • Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
  • After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure
  • Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property
  • Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives
  • Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises
  • Maintains written log of all security related incidents and their dispositions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
