We are hiring a Targeted Case Management Billing Supervisor for our growing team! The TCM Billing Supervisor oversees and ensures accuracy and timeliness in Targeted Case Management service documentation while maintaining compliance with organizational standards. This role involves providing training, conducting staff evaluations, and collaborating with center directors to improve service quality, with a focus on supporting individuals in pursuing education and vocational training opportunities. The supervisor upholds professionalism, confidentiality, and fosters respectful relationships with both staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possess and maintain an approved status for an independent clinical license with a KY credentialing board.
  • Support individuals in pursuing educational and vocational training opportunities to enhance their recovery journey.
  • Keep an adequate schedule of reviewing TCM service documentation, within ARC’s required completion time frame.
  • Keep a direct supervision schedule with TCM/UR staff to be up to date on all requirements for TCM documentation, lead in finding solutions to any problematic situations, and timely performance evaluations.
  • Provide DBHDID approved TCM training twice annually for new-hire TCMs.
  • Work with HR to have adequate TCM documents for supervision and CE requirements.
  • Attend related ARC meetings directly related to TCM work and documentation.
  • Keep reviewers of non-billable services up to date on necessary information and procedures.
  • Work with center directors to collaterally provide information to improve TCM services.
  • Be available as needed to cover some direct clinical services.
  • Travel as needed to provide supervision and training for TCMs and center directors. (Travel should not exceed 20% of total full time work for this position.)
  • Maintain a respectful relationship with employees, interns and persons served/clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s staff and persons served/clients alike.
  • Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
  • Protect the privacy of all staff and persons served/client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider.  Failure to comply with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s policies and procedures on persons served/client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • May access protected health information (PHI) and other persons served/client information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties.  The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need to know specific persons served/client information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s operations.
  • Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s policies and procedures on persons served/client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • Masters level Human Service, Counseling, Social Work  
  • Direct clinical services to BH/SUD clients, three years minimum, required
  • Supervision of professional staff, one year minimum, preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of KY regulations for TCM
  • Knowledge of KY Medicaid expectation for TCM
  • Ability and willingness to travel to centers for direct contact and supervision of TCMs
  • Clinical documentation review, one year minimum
  • Adhere to Confidentiality requirements as outlined in 42 CFR, Part 2.
  • Computer literate with experience in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work and work related responsibilities.
  • Must have the ability to interact with staff and persons served/clients in a professional manner.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and organization.
  • Minimal knowledge of addictions preferred.
  • Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
