We are hiring a Comprehensive Assessment Clinician for our growing team!  The Clinical Comprehensive Assessment ARNP facilitates the provision of competent assessment services to clients, audits of clinician assessments and training of assessment clinicians and other staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments with clients to include diagnosing and ASAM criteria.
  • Recommend appropriate levels of care for clients.
  • Consult with other clinical assessment clinicians and medical for level of recommendations.
  • Provide assessments to determine if a client requires a higher level of care along with recommendations.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment training to assessment clinicians and medical providers to include diagnosing and ASAM criteria.
  • Conduct initial, concurrent, and retrospective reviews of comprehensive assessments to ensure accurate diagnosing and ASAM criteria.
  • Complete reports to reflect.
  • Attend all administrative assigned meetings and discussion groups and complete tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in training ARC/Odyssey staff and/or new hires to improve delivery of services. 
  • Lead implementation of program changes as necessary.
  • Confer with medical, clinical, and other staff to determine legitimacy of treatment and length of stay
  • Analyze insurance, governmental, and accrediting standards to determine criteria concerning admissions, treatment, and length of client stay.
  • Participate in all state and staff regulatory training as required.
  • Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics.
  • The Clinical Assessment Physician is expected to protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care LLC/Odyssey INC’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a healthcare provider.

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • Must hold an APRN, DO, PA or MD degree and license in Kentucky.
  • Independent licensure preferred.
  • Past administrative experience required.
  • Experience delivering lectures on addiction and conducting group sessions.
  • Substance abuse experience preferred.
  • Appropriate State and Federal Clearances.

Other Qualifications to be Considered:

  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system.
  • Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity.
  • Knowledge of 12-Step Recovery Program.
  • Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and family.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction.
  • Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner.
  • Ability to interact with a multidisciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities.
  • Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to read detailed health records.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to operate computers and other equipment in the office.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to move around the office and the community.
