We are hiring a Teacher (Non-Certified) for our growing team! The Teacher at The Millard School assumes multifaceted roles including attendance officer, digital learning instructor, credit recovery facilitator, and homeschool hybrid mentor. They also serve as Destiny Plan mentors, overseeing job shadowing, coursework, and tutoring, while prioritizing holistic care methodologies to foster student and staff success. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attendance officer - tracking and contacting parents/guardians regarding tardiness and absences
  • Act as digital learning teacher/credit recovery and homeschool hybrid
  • Destiny plan mentor tasks: (including but not limited to) driving to and from job shadowing, checking coursework, monitoring attendance, behavior, and performance on job sites
  • Assisting with student tutoring and intervention
  • Utilizes holistic care methodologies to continually pour into students and staff with a sense of personal responsibility and compassion toward seeing them succeed.
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures in alignment with Association of Christian School International,1MS curriculum, and additionally the vision of The Millard School when directing in-person and virtual learning platforms.
  • Spiritually responsible under the direction of the Principal to utilize Biblical holistic care
  • methodologies when managing and caring for students, families, and staff.
  • Builds and navigates relationships with students and caretakers from diversified backgrounds with love, acceptance, and sensitivity.
  • Be responsible for the safety of the students throughout the school day in all settings.
  • Observe and evaluate student progress.
  •  Display flexibility with new ideas and challenges, and seek counsel in the unknown.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • Must hold, at minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Education
  • Current, valid state teaching certification.

Other Qualifications to be Considered:

  • Previous experience working with children preferred.
  • Experience with developmental disorders preferred.
  • Proficient in office software programs such as spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Must be organized, coordinated, and manage time efficiently.
