We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our growing team!  The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a vital member of the System of Care. The CNA is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of persons served/clients as they go through the rehabilitation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors persons served/ clients
  • Complete nursing encounter visits 
  • Handles medication management
  • Ensure universal precautions of the center
  • Checks vital signs and records in the persons served/ client’s chart daily
  • Observe and assess persons served/ clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow prescribed courses of treatment.
  • Assist with client scheduling, appointments and telehealth as directed by center nurse
  • Assist with completing withdrawal scales after training and direction of center nurse
  • Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required
  • Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics
  • Required to protect the privacy of all persons served/ client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policy, procedures and practices as required by federal and state law, in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Kentucky CNA Certification 
  • Substance abuse experience preferred.
  • Experience delivering Health Education classes
  • Appropriate State and Federal Clearances 

Other Qualifications to be Considered:

  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system
  • Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity
  • Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and family 
  • Knowledge of airborne and blood borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies and the uses of universal precautions
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and be organized. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner
  • Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served
