  • Conducts Nursing Assessments and monitoring of clients.
  • Member of the Treatment Team.
  • Handles the medication management; trains staff on medication dispensing.
  • Ensures Universal Precautions of the center.
  • Facilitates Health Education groups including General Health Education, Medication/Drug Interactions.
  • Observe and assess clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow prescribed course of treatment.
  • Determines and implements specific protocol as designated by the Doctor.
  • Ensures client confidentiality in compliance with 42CFR, Part 2.
  • The Rehabilitation Nurse is expected to protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.  Failure to comply with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.’s policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • The Rehabilitation Nurse may access protected health information (PHI) and other client information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties.  The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need to know specific client information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other operations.
  • The Nurse is encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding policies and procedures on client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
  • Maintain a respectful relationship with clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with staff and consumers alike.
  • Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
  • Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
  • Have the ability to communicate with the Case Manager and assist in ensuring the safety of the client.
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
  • Must have two-years of continuous sobriety prior to hire, if a recovering alcoholic or drug addict and participate in a self-help program.
  • Must have ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Attention to detail and organization a must.
  • Adhere to Confidentiality requirements as outlined in 42 CFR, Part 2.
  • Computer literate with experience in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work and work related responsibilities
